QBO System Recovery Checklist

When bringing a QBO system online, following an OS upgrade, QBO framework update, or machine reboot, ensure you check the following:
  • Data Tier:
    • the database is online (specifically not in recovery mode)
    • SQL Server Agent is running
  • Web and App Tiers:
    • IIS is started
      • You can successfully browse to a login page
    • qbo Event Handler Service is started
      • Event Viewer Application Log will contain 2 entries indicating a successful start
      • The Event Dashboard Report indicates the service is running
    • Configuration files have been tested
      • Design > Configuration > Event Configuration, click Test
      • Design > Configuration > Object Factory Configuration, click Test
      • Design > Configuration > Xslt Extensions, click Test
      • Design > Configuration > Event Configuration, click Test
      • Design > Configuration > Attachment File Objects, click Test
      • Design > Configuration > Attachment Templates, click Test
